    Okay, that’s a home made pie! You can’t buy ANY commercial pie (maybe aside from Betty’s on the North Shore) with a decent crust.

    My wife makes me an apple pie that she would never serve to guests – unpeeled apples and no added sugar; but it tops anything you could buy.

    My grandpa insisted that he only wanted scratch-made cake. After dinner one day grandma asked how he liked the cake, his response was it was delicious as usual. Grandma said glad you liked it, it’s Duncan Hines. From then on grandpa got box mix cakes.

    I gave up on homemade pie crusts decades ago. Have you every had grape pie? 1 TBS of corn starch per cup of grapes. Use seedless grapes.
