At my last hearing test the audiologist said I just needed a little amplification, so I bought a Banglijian “not a hearing aid”. $150 and rechargeable. Even on the lowest settings, it works so well I bought a spare. My wife is quite happy with it.
Because some people don’t seem to know which end of the handset to talk in to. And some seem to have it stuck in their nostrils. Or insist on eating potato chips while during the call.
