“No, you won’t. I will find a better, more sympathetic doctor.”

I’ve lost nearly 2" so far. My waist has found twice that.

I haven’t started shrinking yet. I’ve been told that I have excellent posture, and that helps.

Gravity. The fatter you are the faster and farther you shrink. Your spine compresses.

    I started at 5’10 1/2” now I’m 5’ 6’ 1/2” at 77 now I’m racing my young grandson to see who gets to 5’ 6” first.

I used to laugh at Manga comics that depicted tall, slender young people with diminutive grandparents. Now, I’ve become one of those little people.

As part of my annual physical my height was measured and I’ve lost about 1 inch in height since my teen years. Doctor said it wasn’t much loss and due to the spinal discs shrinking and well, gravity works…

    Gravity wins in the end.

    Well, both ends.

5’1" is all I made it to. In college I looked young (started college at 17 due to when birthday fell and graduated at 20 as went summers). When finding a job I looked too young for some jobs. Now that I am a “senior” I still look younger so it sort of makes up for all the problems on the younger end.
