Do they even sell them still? Haven’t seen them advertised in catalogs in along time. Even in The Vermont Country Store catalog that features a lot of old time stuff. Black Jack or Clove gum anyone?
The shirt collar extenders are still sold per online check. Husband needs them for his shirts and we have not found in them in stores.
However – We have not seen any extenders being sold for his pants which fit too tightly, but not due to weight. He has a hernia which is very expanded – neither the doctor nor I can convince him to get it fixed. As a result the pants button sits just below where it should (and his hernia expands it) his stomach hangs over his belt. If he lost weight his pants would not slip down from his waist (as he is shaped larger above his waist then below his waist) so he has to keep pulling them up, he would not have “digestive problems” (a polite way to put it), he would look slimmer, I would not be constantly afraid of his hernia bursting – and the death which might follow it, and he could bend down and pick up things without getting sick. (Plus other more personal problem which ends up hitting me in the stomach.)

Never heard of them. Might be cheaper, if you don’t mind the zipper at 3/4 mast.

A trail of popped buttons follows in that Fat Cat’s wake. A chicken gobbles them in mid-air. (Reference to “Smilin’ Jack”)

Perfectly good pair of pants, why throw them out just ‘cause they’re a little tight around the waist.

Time to lose some weight. I’d say about 25 – 30% of present mass.
