I remember reading once about a couple who moved into a new house, and every time they left the front door open, a squirrel would run in. Turns out that the old lady who previously owned the home would leave a bowl of nuts in the foyer, and let the wildlife come and go as it pleased.

I once had that came in late one day (he was never late). When I asked him why he was late, he replied “I’ve got squirrels in my attic”.

Is it not “strip canon” that every squirrel gets barked at???

Maybe the traitor on the porch with the key to the front door. A “disgruntled employee” or some other insider threat is the hardest one to defend from. Poncho does “disgruntled” well.

Poncho is probably charging them rent. I wonder what the exterminator is going to do when the rodents show him their lease?

I suppose this parallels Snoopy being nice to rabbits. Or Poncho just being a sociopath.
