The earth will continue to spin, and the sun will continue to rise and set. The human race may not be here to see it, though.

Technically, the application to withdraw from the Paris accords cannot be filed until 3 years after it was signed – & that is later this year. After that, the withdrawal is not effective until 1 year after submitted. So it will not be until late 2017 the paperwork would be submitted and late 2018 that the US would withdraw.

I am still trying to figure out why the issue of climate change/global warming became such a politicized “Us vs. Them” issue? I mean, it used to be that the majority of people could agree that man-made pollution was bad for the environment, and that we should do our part to protect the planet. Now it seems that anyone who calls for anti-pollution regulation is accused of being a “job-killing traitor to ’Murica!”. Was it because of the Al Gore documentary “An Inconvenient Truth”?

So what’s your point Mr. Stantis…?

@Ji2m: It’s not the amount of change, it’s the rate of change. No non-catastrophic event (think asteroid) has caused the climate to change as fast as it is changing now. That rate of change is being caused by human activity.

The amount of historical and scientific illiteracy displayed by the climate-change “deniers” is downright depressing! Then, we have Stantis copying the likes of Rush Limbaugh ….
