“What will happen when the power goes out?”

Call a member of the President’s administration. They have way too much power.

Another problem made up by a New York writer in order to lecture about it and make a couple of bucks.

“I can’t read cursive either.” I wonder if he can write (in cursive, or otherwise)?

The analog clock won’t work either. Unless you have a wound watch, which isn’t likely.

Maybe people stop learning these things because technology has actually made them not that useful, and other skills are more useful. Just because we learned to do something as kids doesn’t make it a Sacred Eternal Truth.

Most people can’t read a sundial. Most people can’t read Elizabethan script. Because it’s not that useful to know how.

We are already so far removed from being able to replicate our lives on our own without great amounts of technology as to be extremely vulnerable.

if the power goes out for more than a couple days society crumbles, looting and hoarding take over. A year later, all that is left are the Mennonites and other similar groups who know how to live off the land, and a few successful thieves stealing from the ones who know how to survive. over population solved and nature can start repairing itself from all the damage caused by humans.
