Phony, hypocritical “holier-than-thou” CONservative evangelical “Christians” who always wag their fingers in everyone else’s noses have been exposed for the money-grubbing frauds they are — they have officially relinquished any credibility on claiming to be the party of “family values” or the “moral majority” (they are neither moral nor the majority).
These CONservative religious hucksters have proven that it is only about the money, supporting candidates who will REDISTRIBUTE middle class working people’s wealth upward to the few richest elites like themselves who already have the most, while pursuing their daily televangelist scams and weekly Sunday collection cons to swindle gullible suckers out of their hard-earned money.
Just trying to figure out exactly which “godly” attributes CONvinced the right-wing religious charlatans Trump is such a moral role model. Was it his…
…vast mastery of scripture and theology?
…three marriages (and bragging about cheating on all of them)?
…hush-money payouts to a porn star and Playboy Playmate
…bragging about groping and assaulting women?
…bragging about barging in on undressed Miss Teen USA contestants?
…bragging about wanting to “date” his teenage daughter?
…inappropriate fondling and touching of his teenage daughter?
…cheating of hopeful college students?
…refusal to pay contractors for completed work?
…mocking of disabled people?
…mocking of decorated war heroes and Gold Star families?
…history of racial discrimination in apartment rentals?
People like DD wiz just want someone to hate. 99% of the religious right are good people, but every society has some perverts. I’d bet you can find some as bad as any on his list among his friends and relatives.
I think the term “evangelical” is being applied too broadly, sometimes. I do know a few “evangelicals,” from both a personal and professional basis – but I must point out I am retired now. Some are very good people (if a bit gaga on religion) while others are fairly disagreeable. By disagreeable, I mean that if you disagree with them on anything, you’re wrong! I think it’s the latter sort that are the subject of the posts above. They cannot tell you precisely why you are wrong, other than you disagree with them. If they have a scriptural basis for their contention but you have a counter scriptural basis for your own position, they will tell you that you’re still wrong, and that’s assuming they give you the courtesy of a hearing.
Evangelicals don’t love Trump, they disliked other options I mean his opponent was not a paragon of integrity, but was a shining beacon of entitlement.
As a non-Christian I find today’s strip fascinating. He seems to recognize the hypocrisy of people who proclaim to be Christians and either support Trump or refrain from criticizing him. The first step in fixing a problem is recognizing it exists.
Many Christians support Trump because he supports life. He supports limited government. He is keeping his promises. He is empowering individuals and taking power away from the political eluite. He is not leading a cultural Jihad against Christians like the left and they recognize that the government and the President are not the ultimate authority…God is.
No matter what belief system you hold, doing the right thing is not noisy or brash. The rewards for doing the right thing only exist and grow in your own heart. Similarly, the wrong things you do also live there to fester and kill your spirit.

Actually, I think Scott (or his ghost writer) is right on today!
I also find it curious that, for many practicing Christians, and I include our church as well, we do not refer to ourselves as Evangelicals!
