One reason some people are considering leaving is that those things have become common elsewhere. Without the insanity and with a higher standard of living.
How free are you if you die because you canât afford medical bills?
itâs always beware of what you wish for. I listened to a WashingtonPost writer tell African Americans to look at joining others and move to Ghana after everything thatâs been happening. But she failed to mention that a) abortion is illegal, b) being homosexual is illegal and c) there is gang violence and murders with drug trafficking, d) free speech rights (the right to complain) isnât great. Yes, itâs somewhat less chance of police brutality and yes, itâs cheaper to live there but there are always trade-offs.
The US, for all itâs problem, has many more freedoms than others.. even comparable European countries. So ensure you always know what you are getting and giving up.
The âUnderground Railroadâ does end in Canada. Canada has been known to accept black human rights asylum seekers from south of their border for the last 200 years.
