Well, the good thing is that things like market concentration and right wing media ownership have no effect.

Charles Schulz is long gone and yet they’re still publishing his… and Garry Trudeau does a new one only once a week and they still publish his.

I had expected Nonsequiter and Wiley Miller to get canceled after Mr. Miller’s kerfv¢kele. But that didn’t happen. And I am glad it didn’t happen.

Will Henry, creator of one of the best strips published these days, briefly talks about the changes in the comic business and a bunch of other interesting stuff in his goComics bio.

And, by the way, it’s time for goComics and the creators to update those bios. Way out of date!

Just move to GC full time? Your fanbase is strong here (and I THINK you get paid too, but I don’t know on that)

The purpose of those who comprise Wealth is either from the outset, or as their accumulation increases/accelerates, to become ever more wealthy.

One of the most sure ways to accomplish this is to reduce — or eliminate when/where possible — commodity expenses.

Cartoons are a “luxury” item unnecessary for (what little remains of) the publication industry, particularly news organizations whether in their printed or on-line material.

For a high percentage of ownership (Wealth), it is demonstrably obvious that cartoons are an unimportant commodity and thus an unnecessary expense, and this is an untenable affront to the most basic and core principal of wealth accruement.

In the minds of Wealth media controllers, there is no reason to fear losing a single remaining consumer (of this product which either earns or costs them wealth) will occur if cartoons are deleted from the content offerings.

The bottom line is the only thing, ultimately, which influences the decision making of Wealth.
