“What is success?…To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate the beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch Or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!”

    ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Democrats want people to be responsible and happy. Therefore don’t make your neighbor unhealthy by polluting the air, and don’t tell them how to live their lives or who they should love. Republicans (MAGA-heads these days) want to do whatever they want, and only want people to be happy if they live by their rules. Hence you can burn down environment if it makes you wealthy (or even if it doesn’t) and don’t make them uncomfortable by being gay or from another country or the wrong color. Bit of an oversimplification, but it seems to explain a lot to me.

Concerning today’s Bramhall, I’m finding the cartoonists are a bit out of sync with this evolving theme. The right-wing populists are now saying that nothing can be done about climate change. It’s too late. I mean some of them, here are writing crazier things, but those of the uber nutters.

“There have been more jobs gained under Biden’s term than under the full terms of former Presidents trump, Obama, or George W. Bush.”

By the numbers: Biden is now at +16.1 million, a record economic recovery.

trump oversaw 2.1 million job losses, with 6.6 million jobs added during his first three years.

Obama oversaw 7.1 million job gains, with losses at the beginning of his first term due to the Great Financial Crisis.

Bush oversaw 5.2 million job gains.

Biden/Harris is handing off 2.7% inflation and 4.1% unemployment to trump, with a working age employment rate exactly where it was at the end of 2019.

Meanwhile, due to propaganda, their economic stewardship will be remembered as a complete failure by half of the country.

This will be the second time trump inherits a good economy from a Dem president, the second time trump takes credit for his inheritance, and the second time he destroys it.

“Elon Musk says DOGE probably won’t find $2 trillion in federal budget cuts

Musk previously said his Department of Government Efficiency would be able to recommend cuts to the federal budget of “at least $2 trillion.” — NBC NEWS

They aren’t going to find $2T in waste.

They aren’t going to lower grocery prices.

They aren’t going to fix immigration.

Their tariffs and deportations will blow up prices and inflation.

They are however going to give themselves trillions in tax breaks, and pay for them by cutting Social Security, Medicare and a/thing that benefits the lower and middle class. Good job maga, you F’d around, now you’re fixin to find out.

Hey, Joe! You’ve got only eight days to pardon The Biden Crime Family. All the libs on this page are claiming Trump is building concentration camps, and you don’t want to wind up in one. (their words, not mine)

It’s a surprise to PC readers that the lame moron can count to ten, however he can count to twenty if he takes his shoes off, …twenty and 1/4 if he drops his drawers.

Happiness is a state of mind. Same as not being a convicted felon is DJT’s state of mind, along with a bunch of images of grandure.

Happiness is relative. Just because it’s not your level of happy and contentment, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be anyone else’s. We’re all unique, just like everyone else.

    Happiness is the only good.

The time to be happy is now.

The place to be happy is here.

The way to be happy is to make others so.

    — Robert G. Ingersoll

“Most folks are about as happy as they make their minds up to be.” — attributed to Abe Lincoln

Conservatives don’t know how to be happy. Even when they win elections they’ll gloat and still whine. I choose to be positive and when they fail the Democrats will have to clean up after them. I can’t wait to hear them respond to this comment. Let it rip
