In his previous life he was indeed a dog on one of the planets of “Canis Major”.

Don’t light a fire..cracker under his britches.

I gave our dog a tranquilizer last night because of the fireworks. Tonight will be worse. I mostly worry about fires since we’ve had a drought here but it doesn’t stop neighbors.

Our Lhasa’s could be hugged, heart to heart, and they’d calm down … also good for one’s soul.

The look of terror on our 1 year-old cat was palpable last night during our neighbor’s July 3rd celebration …!

Ric (our cat) is usually startled by fireworks (or any loud noise, including but not limited to the washing machine when a load is off-balance). Last night, the neighborhood kids were lighting off big boomers for quite a while and Ric did okay, thankfully.

The thunderstorms we had here this afternoon had all the local fireworks kids beat by a wide margin.
