At a friends’ Thanksgiving years ago, our English Cocker spaniel installed himself next to a highchair at the end of the long table. It was reported to us that no food ever hit the floor.
Good thing your mother hasn’t heard the trick to make sloppy joes un-sloppy. Instead of buns use pita bread, cut the pita in half and use the pockets for the sloppy joe mix. So much neater than using a bun.
