He hoped Rover might have a new thought.

Dogs in general and especially labs are well known to have a one track mind when it comes to treats.

I think Red is off to get you a milky bone, little one! I like the third frame. So silhouettey!

What was your first clue, Red?

Always? Never squirrels? Or other things to chase?

Gotta love Rover’s logic. Plus, he has Red trained very well. Milkey bone on the way.

He could have easily Red Rover’s mind that it was treats.

When Red is away all Rover can do is think of when he’ll be home.

My dog was trained as a rabbit hunter before I got her. I am trying to picture her deciding between a treat and a rabbit scent. I think she would really be unable to choose unless she could grab the treat on her way to the rabbit trail.

Your right Rover ……. Red should have had some treats for you, because he knew what you were thinking …….. :)
