Eighteen minutes if you can each of the nine innings’ six outs fast enough.

An American football game has even less: 11 minutes.

Unless it’s the Superbowl and you only watch for the commercials…

    You’d think they’d have said, “Nearly 1,300 years!” instead…

18 minutes for a baseball game? Funny, it seems so much LONGER!

Back in the 40’s we saw more action because of less advertising. The sponsers had their ads written on the backfield wall and could be seen on the TV screen during the entire game as well as from the bleachers. This gave you little time for boredom or to grab a beer like Ballentine beer & ale! However we always managed.

My older cousin had an apartment in a building near the Dodger stadium and we watched the games from the roof top while tuning in the announcer on the radio.

Perhaps the time has come for “Sprint Baseball”..Like the variety of Chess where each player has a Time Limit for his moves and, if he Runs Out of Time before the game is Over, he automatically Loses..It would be Trickier for Baseball.Timing One Team while the Pitcher is warming up, then switching to the Other Team as soon as he throws. Then, back to the First Team as soon as the Runner Stops on a Base.Or, the Batter Strikes Out..If they manage the Full 9 Innings and Neither runs out of Time, a combination of Runs and Unused Minutes would determine the Winner..Two Unused Minutes equals One Run, Perhaps?.

Well, Strictly Speaking, The Caption didn’t say the Dynasty is Still Ruling, just that the current Holder of the Title is Part of it. Which is, apparently, True..BTW, when it comes to That sort of thing, there is also a Genuine heir to the Title of Count Dracula living in Germany. He was, last I knew, running a Tourist Attraction based on the Dracula stories complete with RED Wine bar and Garlic Garden.Oh, and he also thoroughly Enjoys showing up for Red Cross Blood Drives dressed as Count Dracula.Because, Legally, He IS. .

At least it’s almost twice the action in a football game.
