I have maybe one soda (soft drink) a year but don’t worry I make it up in beers.

The town I’m in near the Blue Ridge is way up above average in soda consumption. When I moved up hear from the beach, I couldn’t believe how many fat people there were. I read somewhere that weight gain for males is most influenced by soda; for women it is chips.

At first glance, I thought Lord Byron was holding an iPad, but then I realized it was just the list of classmates his bear was allowed to eat. No one picked on Lord Byron after that.

Well, I guess I am less than average… I drink zero sodas per year. Blech! I just don’t like it. And that dorm room must have stunk to high heaven!

I find it hard to believe Americans drink about two sodas a day on average. I’ve also read that they eat two donuts a day on average, which I can only assume came from a Krispy Kreme survey.

We call it “pop”. Soda is either an ice cream treat or what you add to cake batter.
