Wilbur was tricked into becoming mayor. He thought it meant that he would get all of the Rabbit Hash he could eat.

Dogs have been mayor of Rabbit Hash, Kentucky for years. The last mayor was a Pitbull. The election for Wilbur had some animals that weren’t even dogs! No people, but, I do know that there was a candidate that was a donkey!

I lived in a small town for awhile that had a Labrador mix dog who was elected mayor. Mayor Bosco. He won two terms, and served until his death. I think it is not all that uncommon, really.
