If he’s fathered around 70% of the cubs in his region, won’t that greatly increase the chance of inbreeding in his region? Such as his male offspring breeding his female offspring, or him breeding one of his female offspring? Is the remaining 30% of the population enough to ensure genetic diversity? Or in a few years from now will that region start having inbred bears with crossed eyes, crooked teeth, deformed limbs, mental impairment and possibly start playing banjos? Inbred grizzlies is a SCARY thought!
