I imagine that the value of the Banksy creation increased after its partial shredding. There are videos online of the moment in the auction venue when the shredding happened. The picture of the half-destroyed canvas hanging partly in and partly out of its frame is accurate.

The Banksy picture was supposed to be completely shredded but the shredder jammed creating the pictured work of art.
