When my brother bought his first house our mom who lived with him at the time said she didn’t like carpet because they’re hard to keep clean so we pulled up a corner to see what was underneath… hardwood and it was in good shape so we pulled the rest of that carpet off.

Finding a “TWISTER” game sheet painted on the floor under the carpet would have been more useful.
