I’m really enjoying how the artist finds such creative ways to connect the 3 items every day in this strip. Love the bandaid on poor Mom’s forehead at the end!
I did them both, work-a-day commute bloke, usually 10 hour days, and stay at home, for 15 years from birth of our last brat. I have no doubt in my mind that staying at home to take care of her was far far easier, less stressful, and rewarding than doing the career bit. Menial chores, which morphed and changed as she got older, starting with the diapers and cleaning and holding her for hours on end as I did other stuff around the house, to cooking and of course laundry constantly. My wife spent 12 of those 15 years getting an education goal and then working at her new career. Win/win all the way around. I HIGHLY recommend dads being stay at home parents if it’s financially possible. Easy peasy and remarkable to look back on for perspective etc. Do NOT buy into the “it’s harder work than working at a job outside the home” crap; that is utter nonsense.
