An umpire once threatened to throw me out of a game I was pitching because I rolled my eyes!

To the writer: This country has a SEVERE obesity problem WHY on earth would you protray Rose’s mother as a 500 lb blimp??? There is NO HUMOR in that.

It’s obvious first off that you are rather incompetent at judging someone’s weight. Is Rose’s mom really what you think a person weighing 500 pounds looks like?

And more importantly, regular readers know that Meemaw is more than capable of running rings around anyone else at whatever she wishes to accomplish. She’s the ultimate perfect grandma.

And, uh, one final thought? May I suggest that describing someone as a ‘blimp’ does nothing to improve our collective need to lose weight?

I like Meemaw’s size. It makes her perfectly huggable. While I agree that most Americans are too heavy (or weight conscious) for their own good, even in other countries grandmas have that extra cushion that just make them so comforting.

Meemaw has been caught red handed at her computer keyboard. Tsk, for posting comments about her daughter’s Mom-ness.

First of all, I think Rose is a great mommy! As for Meemaw, she is pretty dang awesome herself! Weight does not make a person, it’s who they are ,and yes, I am a fatty but I have a “man’s” job fixing tires, changing car batteries and changing oil while helping my hubby of 17 years take care of our family of 8. Sorry, have a problem with people who believe they are better than everyone because of outward appearances.
