    Instead of an artificial tree, maybe you should get a dog to keep the cat in its place. Oh,wait. Dog. Natural tree. Not necessarily a good combination. Oh, well. Never mind. Merry Christmas.

    Years ago we had 2 cats, Tiki (the elder one) and Rico. The first time Rico saw us put up a tree, he had no idea what it was, and he was terrified. We sat in the living room, water bottle in hand, to see what he did. He s-l-o-w-l-y crept up to the tree, stretched out a paw to touch a low-hanging ornament, when Tiki came out of nowhere, FLEW towards Rico, and whapped him upside the head! Rico shook, looked at Tiki, looked at us, and again reached for the ornament…* WHACK * Tiki hit him again! Rico never touched a Christmas tree again.

    Been there…done that…now wire the tree to the ceiling…works.
