We thought our cat ran away but turned out he fell asleep in a drawer which was then closed and we found him two days later. All safe and sound but thirsty and hungry.
My neighbor called me to say her cat was “trapped” in my compost bin. It had apparently squeezed through where there was a partially rotted board. I went out and opened the lid of the bin, and there was the cat – looking up at me as if to say, “Hey! I was napping here!” I left the lid open. The cat didn’t immediately leave, but was gone an hour later when I went to close the lid.

Peekaboo is so pampered as every self respecting cat ought to be.

My tuxedo cat, Missy, loved sleeping in my husband’s underwear drawer.
