The Cretaceous were obviously the earlier birds, but there were some worms left over…
George would tell you there is still some monstrous beast around. If he was able.
Because of the bird, George learned the hard way it was too early to be reading.
Fortunately they (and we) live in such a safe and peaceful world today.

That creature that just ate George is a distant relative of the “huge, monstrous beast” of the Cretaceous
Early worms always wind up being late worms.
Now we know one reason why the chicken crossed the road.
