When we first got TV, we’d wait until a commercial came on to run to the bathroom. Only had about 30 – 45 seconds before the program came back on. National anthem played at about 11:00 PM when TV went off the air and we’d watch the test pattern when we got up in the morning before the broadcast day began. And it didn’t matter what was on. We watched it. On one of the three channels available.
