I’m pretty sure they did this myth, to see if you could cancel two explosions out with each other. The bad news (or good if you like explosions) is NO, the place where the bombs meet is actually even worst-off because of the two explosions, not less.

I used to live a mile or so from the place where they blew things up. The cannon ball that got away landed a few blocks from our house.

He speaks truth to boom. There is NEVER a reason required for explosions.
