Huh… a single gold doubloon weight 7 grams on average, which is about .225 ozt, which would be worth about $600 USD in today’s market. So… they have about $525 change due them. Unless Sherman decide he wants to “stock up”, in which case they’ll pay all three doubloons and have enough food to feed a shark for… twenty minutes? (I was the IT Director at a gold refinery for 18 years.)
