I’m not sure I’d want to live to 100+.

My grandmother swore for many years that she did NOT want to live to triple digits. She passed away at 99 years, 4 months.

Like (probably) Shoe, want to go out at the age of 104, at the hands of an angry husband.

If people are lying in bed drooling, they are most often overmedicated.

Yeah, I’m playing that game too. It would be so much more helpful if they weren’t contradicting each other on a regular basis.

What I want is to see the actual plans, I don’t want synopses from either the insurers or the brokers.

What I am getting is contradictions. We made a decidedly wrong choice when my husband retired, and now it will cost a bundle we don’t have to put that right too.

It’s insane, and it’s inhumane. What it looks like here is the insurers have been given carte blanche to strip working and retired people of every possible cent, without giving them much of anything in return.

I’d just jump off a bridge and leave them to it, but sadly, I’m not hardwired that way. I will settle for the tiny amount of satisfaction I get from not giving them what they want.
