Reminds me of when I finished my last college term paper. I stretched out and said, “I’m doing absolutely nothing and having a HELL of a good time doing it!”
In retirement I have stretched my projects for months. No schedules. No budget arguments. No justifying internal rate of return calculations. And, drum roll, NO BOSS.
i love having lots to do and coming home with a big smile after accomplishing what i wanted to do that day. finally finished digging up a big stump yesterday and the beer sure tasted good yesterday evening…
I love being busy. I guess I am in the minority. I have always been someone who is constantly looking for something to do. I CAN be lazy, but not for very long.
That’s why I don’t enjoy hanging out at home “for relaxation”. Everywhere I look there is something that needs cleaning, moving, repair, feeding or replacement. :)

One thing I’ve learned in life—the only true luxury is going to sleep when I’m sleepy, and staying asleep until I’m not sleepy any more.

Seeing how messy Cosmo’s home is, mine looks neat and tidy in comparison!
