I wasn’t going to get married, but Never Say Never. I went to a Casino Royal to win the money for the ring to put on that Gold Finger. I told her to show it off because it wasn’t just For Your Eyes Only. I have to admit though, it scared The Living Daylights out of me.
I think my dad found out about the payments, too. He went to a jeweler known by the same names as his surname. He thought he’d get a great deal. He didn’t.
My ex got a good deal on my engagement ring. My Dad did the carpet cleaning at the jewelry store so the owner charged my ex half price for the ring and then Dad did two carpet cleanings for the other half. We gotthe matched bands at a discount also. That is why I still go to the same place anytime I need jewelry sizing, repairs and such, the owner is a nice guy and likes to help young couples like we were. I actuaaly keep forgetting to call him, I have a ring that was my sisters that Mom and Dad gave her and they let me have it when she died but I need it resized and I got to remember to do it, I guess I will have to do one of my famous post it notes to remind myself, which I just did as I wrote it.
