Depending on where you live, shooting down drones may be illegal. However, I’m working on a plan to jam their controls electronically, causing them to crash. I don’t think I am sophisticated enough to take over control and hijack a drone.
I had planned to fly a drone near a monument in my area to see what the upper levels looked like. Found out it is too close to an airport, have to get permission first. Don’t know how well the rule is enforced, but you aren’t supposed to fly any drone within five miles of an airport without permission from the tower.
