My kid never asked that question when we were out hiking. Not even once… though he did sometimes get pretty demanding about whether it was lunchtime yet… He was a pure demon about it in the car though.

I see they’re hiking Generation Gap.

Here’s a tip, kids. You are NEVER there, and never will be.

I used to tell my daughters the we were “not quite nearly almost there.”

The only time I asked this question was about two minutes into an 8 mile hike to a bald on the Appalachian trail.

Are we still here?

Wherever we go there we are.
