    Every parent knows that until the kid is in 4-H (or local equivalent) they will NOT attend to the needs of a pet. And even then, they’ll beg and plead to get you to do it “because I have something I have to do that day” or similar.

    PS: I was that kid. But once I owned milk goats, guess where I was every freakin’ day, twice a day at the same freakin time. Every. Freakin’. Day! (PS: It was one of the best times in my life. Though that was more to do with having a baby/child/youngster to nurture than the goats)

    Guess who now adds feeding and walking the dog to her schedule! I see how that works at my son’s house, either everyone feeds them or no one does until they compare notes and they get fed late.

    If I wanted a pet I had to take care of it if not I got the guilt trip from my parents look at your pet’s eyes it’s hungry it needs playing with are you really going to tell it no if you don’t pick up the dog poop and train it I’m going to put the poop in your room or leave it in your room till you train it and let it do its business hahaha
