Was raining hard and the gutter overflowed into the basement window well. There I am at 3AM in the rain cleaning the gutter!! I now have gutter guards that work beautifully so they don’t clog.

With a low-angle roof, I haul the hose up and flush out the gutters.

I have my roof and gutters cleaned twice a year. Leaves, sticks, pines cones, moss and a two-story house. Takes the pros a couple hours.

You can buy a roll of gutter guard plastic screening at any home supply store. It cost me about $3.50 for each 10 feet when I installed mine 15 years ago, and I haven’t had to clean my gutters since.
