I listen to a wide range of music of music in my cab; the 2 constants are that it’s good, and it’s music. A majority of my clientele are fans of rap, which, of course, is neither (music = melody + harmony + ryhthm; take 2 away & you have something else). I am pleasantly surpised by how many are pleasantly surprised – “Hey, that’s pretty cool; who is it??”
I like all kinds of music from Gregorian Chant to the car with the 1000 Watt stereo blaring weird rap. But I don’t care for Hank Williams type country. Now Marty Robbins, Tammy Wynette or Johnny Cash, that I like.
