Instant anything is never as good but when you’re short on time it’s a wonderful trick to have up your sleeve.

Grandma, could you tell us what store you purchased that at so I can go pick up a box too?

Instant Magic? Where can we get that?

If you know the Providence-native author H. P. Lovecraft, it occurred to me that if the Big Pink House from “Breaking Cat News” were transformed into this strip, it would definitely be the house he described in his story “The Dreams in the Witch House.” It’s one of my favorites, and I always try to read it this time of year, although it’s actually set around WalpurgisNacht, the second most haunted time of the year at the opposite end of the calendar.

Did Georgia watch the original Halloweentown when drawing this strip? Reminds me of Grandma Aggie doing the same thing to make witches brew.

I already checked Aldi and they don’t carry this brand.

It is even faster if you use hot water from the kettle and microwave it until it is boiling. Just finish it in the pot for that all day slow simmered effect.

Instant Magic takes about 100 years to perfect.

…the dark-haired girl looks a little skeptical…not of the “Magic” part, but of the “Instant” part; she thinks maybe Grandma is having a little fun at their expense :)…

The bigger girl seems to distrust convenience thaumaturgy.
