Talk to the coaches who make the rules. TV has made it very easy to see how catches turn into fumbles. If the receiver has control of the ball its a catch. Control of the ball being the important phrase
How about consistency and sanity in officiating in the NHL? That starts, by the way, with focusing on the act and ignoring the team and player’s identity.
Slightly off the subject….I rarely find college Bowl games all that exciting… but, I must say, UCF-Auburn in the Peach Bowl, LSU-Notre Dame in the Citrus Bowl, and finally Georgia-Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl were three of the best college football games I’ve seen in years ! ( Even though broadcast in Spanish language. )
I doubt that the Georgia-Alabama CFP will prove as exciting.

What constitutes a catch ? What’s really ball possession ? What’s the difference between an incomplete pass and a stripped ball fumble ?
Obviously, the NFL officials haven’t a clue !!

How about a rule that says if interference occurs in the end zone, the ruling must be a touchdown for the reciever.
