Fell kinda bad for Eli. His QB stats aren’t that bad – #6 in yds, #8 in %age, 21 QBs have more INTs, but he’s #2 in terms of sacks taken. Gotta have time to pass.
As a Texans fan, this is kind of painful. Granted, they are (currently) first in the AFC South, but one of their three losses is the Giants only win so far.
The fault is not all Eli’s but because his O-Line is sooo bad, coupled with the fact that he lacks the mobility, has been hit so many times that he’s gun shy and he has lost the crispness in his passing, he’s become a mere shadow of his former self. The Giants are bad enough, thank to the front office BUT the majority of the problems fall squarely on abysmal coaching_ not Manning!!
My ex-gf is a huge Giants fan, and went to their Super Bowl parade (had to drive a couple hundred miles). I have to admit that I pay at least some attention to Eli for her sake, though she would never pay attention to any of MY teams for MY sake—not anymore, at least. I’m not sure why I’m saying any of this—maybe I’m just thinking about Tank’s painful breakup or something……
