Although true, too often there is artificially manufactured “controversies”. An NBA or NFL sometimes seems like some WWE script. There is enough legitimate angles to cover which will elicit strong opinions and keep sports talk relevant.
Media are not driven by controversy, but by outrage. Controversy implies some possibility of healthy debate, of which there is none. Out rage merely requires the 21st-century face: mouth wide open, eyes tight shut, ears firmly plugged, voice at maximum.
I wonder if Tank’s sponsors are the same as our local sports radio has. These sponsors primarily seem to be 1) gambling 2) “Gentleman’s” Clubs and 3) ED remedies!
