I suspect some of the complainers drive 90 on I10 when 60 is called for by traffic, are watching or texting on their phones while picking up their kids, and are annoyed when they have to deal with bicyclists or pedestrians…and yet, while there are injuries and even death…they keep on.
I was a benchwarmer in HS. One of the few times I got into a game another guy and I hit the ballcarrier. We got up, he didn’t. Leg at a right angle, compound fracture of his lower leg.
I have long since found football too gentle to be exciting, and have switched to following the rapidly-rising sport of BEOOTHWC: Beating Each Other Over the Head With Clubs. And it’ll soon be widely available — a major network is about to conclude a multi-billion-dollar contract to carry the games of the NBEOOTHWCL on FSn (where n > 33 or so). Don’t worry about the safety of the players — they’re protected by well-tested leather helmets.
I would have imagine the voice balloons switched around the other way. I’m disturbed that it is Hank wanting the violence instead of some anonymous caller.

The players are well-compensated to put on a good show for their aches and pains.

Stop whining Tank. In the mineral exploration business, I went to several of my co-workers funerals; and none of us got rich.

This is why I’ll never play football. Too many injuries and tackling.

There’s only one way to stop the injuries involved in playing football. Stop playing football.

Yankees Game 5—-what a mess!!
Somebody in baseball is nuts and it isn’t the players or the fans!
And half the people who waited 3 hours won’t be able to come back.

Yeah, why consider the players’ future health when they are making money for billionaires in the present?

Football is football. Collisions happen. Injuries happen. If you don’t like it, don’t play it or watch it, or switch to flag football.
