    Wiki claims that:

Mahar (also known as Mehra, Taral Dhegu ,meaning Generations of Mutiny in Telugu and Megu) is an Indian community found largely in the state of Maharashtra and neighbouring areas. Most of the Mahar community followed B. R. Ambedkar in converting to Buddhism in the middle of the 20th century. As of 2017, the Mahar caste was designated as a Scheduled Caste in 16 Indian states. . .

I will expect to see if Gent has some comments about them.

Excellent artwork again, I first saw a ‘Mahar’ in the Doug McClure film ‘At the Earth’s Core’, although at 16 I was more interested in Caroline Munro, and thinking most of the budget had gone on the mechanical mole, certainly not on Ms. Munro’s costume…..

Maybe Magnus Robot Fighter will come back from 4000 AD to lend a hand (Russ Manning was the artist on that comic book back in the 1960s).

Yeah, but, ultimately, the Mahar is only as strong as his hippies, so Tarzan’s got the advantage.

Tarzan says, I know: I ‘ll think the happiest things, it’s the same as having wings. Think of Christmas, think of snow, think of sleigh bells off you’ll go.

Every morning this week, I am finding it hard even to believe that there are those who sincerely pine for the comparatively lugubrious John Celardo period, rather than exhilarating in the sublime sleek swiftness of Russ Manning in his matchless continuation and evocation of the Tarzan mythos as Edgar Rice Burroughs actually developed it. (You do need to come at this storyline from the beginning:

Of course, Celardo, too was an accomplished master at what he was doing, and well deserves his admirers. But I have to add my voice to those who think that what Manning was doing is just incomparably more entertaining.
