My friend that i am visiting is fond of casinos so i made sure that i had some extra cash in my wallet when i came down.

Sure enough, when we went to Lake County to visit his sister we stopped at a casino on the way.

Good thing, for both of us. On his first spin on a machine he hit the machines Bonus and pulled out over $1,000. Woo hoo!

So, since he was done, i decided to start making Max Bets and finish off the credits i had in the machine. I hit a big spin. Cashed out with $54. I had started with a $20 bill. Woo Hoo.

not a lit, i know, but it went into the gas fund.

THEN we went to visit with his sister. While there she made me some home made tortillas and showed me the technique to get good tortillas, instead of the mess that i was making. (The secret is lots and lots of kneading. LOTS of kneading.) We had some homemade Chicken en Mole’ wit the fresh tortillas. MMMmmm…

And THEN, a old classmate from high school showed up!

WE had a wonderful visit. It was ALL so good!

After we left and was headed home my friend had me go to another casino. (Not a big surprise.) He had some credit that he wanted to use up there. He didn’t win, but…

Since it was my birthday month, and they had a promotion going, i ended up with $30 in free gaming. Just given to me on a card.

“Here, go have fun. And happy Birthday!”

I played over $25 of that and then hit a Bonus Spin.

Cashed out of that machine with $55.

Woo Hoo!

All in all, a good day. And not bad for someone that doesn’t do a lot of gambling.

With a grand total of $89 of winnings to put into my gas tank.

We’ve been staining the pressure-treated steps outside to preserve them. The very friendly orange neighborhood cat I call Big Orange wandered over to be petted and stepped in the wet stain. I hope it wore off before he tried to clean it off.

I think most of us know some people around here we’d like to dump a can of paint on. I didn’t think Chesney would be such a stickler.

Glad to hear that my posts on the Ten Cats Fan Club page are being seen by those of you not on Facebook. Nice to see that video from Last Rose of Summer yesterday. See you tomorrow.

Chesney sounds like the troll I used to see here commenting on people’s misspellings and poor punctuation. Haven’t seen him in a while. The last thing I saw him say, I actually found funny. Someone (I believe it was Dennis) was having trouble posting a picture. The troll told him to stop posting pictures and just comment on the strip. To me that was funny because he was saying “Do as I say, not as I do”. He wasn’t commenting on the strip either (I’m not sure he ever did). He was commenting on the comments. Oh the irony of that!

@Gweedo from yesterday, yes we can place pictures, hot links, and smileys in emails (these are internal addresses) and on our wiki site (specific to our server) at my workplace. The software blocks anything it considers harmful, I’ve seen warnings while web surfing.I regularly read GC on my PC at work (where I am right now) and have saved pictures from the comments many a time. I’m no techie so don’t know much about what goes into protecting the site but it is significant to protect patients’ data

I have been copying this strip and the comments faster than I’m reading them at home. I’ve copied through Feb 2015, but still reading May 2014. There is something I need to ask. There used to be a person called MayKitten posting comments. He made some happy comment once that caused the troll to ask “Who cares?”. and a lot of you said you care and you wanted more details – how did it go – sounded like he was having a block party or something. In May (around the 14th), there were a lot of replies to one of his comments saying things like “how awful for you” and “good luck”. I got from replies he was male and he was a veteran. But none of his comments appeared at all, so I have no idea what happened to him. Lots of congrats on finding homes for kittens too. Does anyone know what happened to him or why all of his comments got deleted? Even when some of you have been banned or when someone dies, their comments are still here. Many of Linda’s picture are no longer available, but her comments are still there. I;m confused.

Ilove that y’all are posting websites to look up for cute cat pictures. If they won’t let you post pictures anymore, that is one way to show ‘em they can’t keep us down HA!

Thanks to those who post on FB. I don’t go there very much and the only “friends” I have are family. Saves me a lot of time. I like the 10 cats home page and go there when I have time.

My older male Tuxedo with mental issues bit my wife yesterday. He was having a seizure and she was trying to get him to calm down as he bites himself. Well, he bit her instead. Single fang bite in the right thumb joint. The next day it was obviously infected, hot and red with red hues creeping up her arm so off we went to urgent care. IV started with antibiotics and now an RX with horse pills. I think it’s improving. I hope it is. I know folks who have lost a finger or hand to cat bites, but they left them untreated. It’s been a bad couple of days.

I just can’t put my little old man down. He is better as we put him back on meds. Turns him into a zombie, but he stops hair pulling and biting himself. All due to stress and he is 15 years old. There is no cure.

LaughingKitty makes a good point that we have to have someone our love ones can contact in case we can’t post.And let your family know who that person is.

We wondered and wondered where Ruth (Wet and Soggy) had gone. And it was months and months before Linda’s son wrote to tell us she had passed.

We are a family here. We want to know if you are alright!

Hi, everyone, Paul and I are back from the cabin. We had a wonderful time. I went fishing (which I haven’t done in years) and caught a pike and a walleye. We are having them for dinner tonight with french fries. I’m now going to catch up on the last few days of Ten Cats.
