The results of the culture on Lovebug’s ear came up showing that the Baytril that I’ve been using these many months (I’ve lost count how many months this has been going on) is considered the most effective antibiotic for her ear infections so I’m back to using that again, plus cleaning the ear every day. But while Baytril seemed to help quickly back when this whole thing started, it still does not seem to be working as fast as it used to. I’ve done her drops for 3 days now (6 doses in all) with no sign of improvement. I thought that before, I’d see at least some slight improvement after 2 days. She had been doing so well the past couple months or so before this stupid thing flared up again. I thought we finally had it licked. I hope we have improvement real soon.
I’ve never seen a cat eat as much as this foster does! I took him to the vet on Tues because he was sneezing a bit and I could hear some congestion in is upper chest area. He got a long lasting antibiotic shot and a steroid shot for his mouth. And, I’m going to keep him an extra week just to make sure he’s healthy for adoption. So, back to the food. He wants to eat ALL OF THE TIME! And, he eats whatever flavor food I give him. Chicken, beef, fish…and, any brand. (I never buy the off brands; only Friskies, Purina, Sheba, etc) He eats the pate. He eats the bits in gravy, he eats that soft mousse like stuff that Sheba makes.
I have to stand in the middle of the room and try to get the food into his dish because he rams him head into my hand to get to the food. It’s not like I only feed him twice a day. I feed him probably every FOUR hours! The vet said to let him have a much as he wants to fatten him up. I just wonder where he puts it all! His little tummy is only so big.
I was just sitting here trying to eat my breakfast and he wanted it, too. Too bad for him..those eggwhites with cheese were mine!.
I’m relating to this. I’m in a hotel room right now in North Carolina. I’ve got the thermostat set to 78 and it’s still freezing in here. Walls so thin I can almost hear my neighbors think, let alone talk. I had to unplug one of the few lamps in the room to use an electric outlet for my devices. I don’t know what the mice were charged, but I’m paying about $200 a night.

Sounds like a luxury four star hotel. (For mice, that is.) On another note, saw a hawk on the way to work today.
