Also from yesterday’s comments – to JAY REIDER – I’m glad you liked the music in my video. Actually, that was a CD I was playing. I do listen to a classical music station though. Growing up, I never really appreciated classical music. I saw it only as something our music teachers forced us to listen to. I liked rock music. I still do like rock, but I don’t listen to it a lot now. I used to listen to the “oldies” rock station, but they started playing a lot of the same songs I kept hearing day after day at work – songs I hated, like 80’s & 90’s stuff (Justin Beiber makes me want to barf!). One day, when my car was out of commission, I borrowed my sister-in-law’s car. Her radio was tuned to the classical music station and I didn’t want to mess up her radio station, so I left it on. I found the classical music relaxed my nerves after a busy, stressful day at work. After that day, I tuned my radio to the station and I started picking up classical music CD’s at library book sales and at rummage sales where I paid $1 or less apiece for them. I really don’t miss that oldies rock station at all. They did too much talking anyway – really dull talk. So I keep it on the classical station or my CD’s.
Went out to make those donations of cash and pet food yesterday. Did not go as planned. The first place I went, where I was told YES, they needed pet food, I found out no, they did not. I told the woman she and the guy I talked to on Friday should talk to each other. They sent me to another place. They took the gift card, tho. We went to the second place, a kennel for homeless people to keep their dogs safe while they are in a shelter. Nope, they didn’t need any either. They sent me to the Utah Rescue Dogs place. Finally! Somebody who needed it. They needed the cat food, too. We could see 4 kittys running around and playing in one of the rooms. We finally were able to unload 16 bags of food.
As long as were were in the area of the quilt shop, we stopped in. I haven’t been there since March. Chrystal had her mask and said they’ve been super busy with people wanting fabric for masks.
We stopped for lunch at a drive thru and while in the parking lot saw people going in and out of a few places. It seemed that the older people were masked up, but the younger people were not. I guess they’re magically invincible and immune to the virus. Good for them.
We also noticed there were some places now open for in-room dining. Chilis’ was one of them. I honestly don’t understand that. Even if they have limited seating, you still have to be near a server. Will he/she be wearing a mask? Nobody eating will be wearing one. I’ll stick to the drive thrus if I have to be out and about.
Not so great minds think alike. This looks like it’s going to be a fun story arc. On another note, saw a robin and three rabbits while out walking today. :)
This evening about 6, I was sitting on the back deck while Jasmine, my foster Brittany, had her walk about after dinner. I saw something moving down the south fence line and kept watch thinking it was my barn cat but it came out just enough from the foliage and it was a fox. Then Jasmine saw it, took off after it… and it ran across the road and into my hay field. Jasmine couldn’t get through that small opening in the fence.

I wonder if the boys will catch on that Mimieux didn’t write either of those letters.

Today is:
National Nutty Fudge Day. I prefer my fudge without nuts.
National Odometer Day
National Fibromyalgia Awareness Day.
National Limerick Day. Here is my favorite limerick:
There was a young man from Bombay
Making fireworks one fine summer day,
He dropped his cigar
In the gunpowder jar.
There WAS a young man from Bombay.
