National Pharmacist Day

Kiss a Ginger Day. This is about kissing a redheaded person, but I substituted by kissing my ginger cat, Fluffy, instead. What would Chesney think if Annie kissed him today?

National Marzipan Day

National Curried Chicken Day

National Shop For Travel Day. I won’t be shopping today and I won’t be travelling anyplace, other than going back to work on Thursday. I’m enjoying a stretch of 3 days off in a row right now, using some of my paid time off. One day down (Monday) and 2 days to go (Tuesday & Wednesday).

Yesterday was National Clean Off Your Desk Day. My desk was already clean, so I cleaned out a closet instead. I found some things in that cluttered closet that I had forgotten I even had. The closet is so neat and clean now, I can’t even recognize it! On the agenda for later today is cleaning out kitchen cupboards and maybe putting in new shelf liner. I found some shelf liner in that closet I just cleaned out. On Wednesday, I want to take down my outdoor Christmas lights. I’m not lighting them anymore, but they’re still hanging up out there.

What’s that pink thing he’s speaking into? One of those old horn things that amplified sound?

The more I read this strip, the more I find I’m a “Chesney” type guy…….and I don’t mind loading docks at all, being a retired truck driver.

I think this may be a rerun; nevertheless, Jack and Chesney are headed for the loading dock again.

This reminds me of an old Calvin and Hobbes. He’s sent to his room and next panel we see him on the phone ordering a pizza.

Speaking tubes were used for more than hundred years, especially on ships. When not in use, they were plugged with a whistle. When you wanted to “call” someone, you unplugged your end and blew hard, which made the other end whistle.

Gotta accept that Chesney Is who he is… And Annie will keep caring for him because she is who She is-

On another note, I’m getting my first vaccine shot today. Never thought I would be so excited to get a shot. Bring on LIFE!
