Sounds good to me. Maybe I ought to follow that calendar when I get my week of vacation later this month. Although, I do plan on planting my garden sometime in that week.
National Moscato Day. On May 9th, raise your glass and toast National Moscato Day. Moscato, or Muscat in Italian, is one of the oldest known varieties of grapes grown in the world. The Moscato grape ranges in color from white to almost black. Its flavor varies, too, from sweet to dry. Winemakers use this quite versatile grape to make everything from sparkling and dessert wines to dry and floral wines. Where one Moscato may pair well with a steak, another will go well with fresh fruit and a sharp cheese plate. In February of 2012, it was reported that Moscato wine became the third most popular white wine consumed within the United States.
Just got back from WalMart – long lines, full baskets. I told the cashier I thought they needed more checkers. She said nobody wants a job – they’d rather get unemployment. Which I think is true. Maybe that needs to be curtailed a bit.
I have the week off. Weather permitting my current plans are:Monday: wash curtains and windows (may be scattered showers, but windows tilt in and I can put the curtains in the dryer even though I’d rather hang them out). Dust the furniture while the dust covers are off.
Tuesday: plant the summer flowers (24 begonias and 2 hanging baskets in the front, 12 portulaca and 12 verbena in the back), 3 tomatoes and 2 cucumbers. I need to plant a tree too if I can find one I like on Monday after the windows.
Wednesday: car for oil change at 8:30 and tire rotation at 1.
Thursday: Moxie goes for a bath. Wash her bedding and all my winter jackets. Mop and vacuum the house and clean the garage, kitchen and bathroom while she’s not here to shed more as I work. Cleaning with a dog in the house is like brushing your teeth while eating Oreos.
Friday: Pick strawberries, wash cap and bake some strawberry bread. Wash the winter bedspreads and break on the summer weight ones.
Saturday: Usual stuff of laundry and mow the grass, bake more strawberry bread.
Sunday: Usual stuff for church and bake more strawberry bread.
I’ll need to go back to work to recover from my week off.
Annie should have left Chesney back at the warehouse and brought Oliver instead. On another note, saw four damselflies, a rabbit, a robin, and a dragonfly while out walking today.

I first read it as, here comes our first customer……….Chesney. Thinking this cant go well. But in the end justice prevailed.

Ah, yes, sleep. Yum Yum reserves it as her prerogative, while having very definite ideas as to the length of time I am allowed to sleep.
