I think I need the Bandaids more than my kitties do as Oliver likes to play with my feet.

Today is:

Slinky Day

National Beach Day. Well, we have a lake nearby (a half mile away with a trail leading to it), but there’s no beach at our lake. But I could take a walk around the lake anyway.

National Grief Awareness Day

National Toaster Marshmallow Day. I should do that. Maybe after I walk around the lake.

I had a ‘bump in the night’ just three nights ago. It was me falling out of bed at two o’clock in the morning.. Actually came close to landing on Damn Cat, but she was safe in the corner. I have an old Victorian style bed which sits up high and has wooden sides. I had to use bandaids to cover the scrape on my left arm and nearly broke a couple fingers in the mishap. I’m sure I heard DC say, “Anybody got a band-aid?”

There is usually a lot of light in the house, between the street lights, the clocks little lights on the computer & printer etc, so it is enough for the cats to see. However when w have a power outage & it IS dark, they seem as lost as I am.

It’s those dreaded deposits I fear about stepping on in the dark!

I get up in the midnite

And I ain’t got nothin’ to see

I have pain in the noggin’

My back and bones feelin’ the same way

I ain’t nothin’ but tired

Man, I’m just aches and paines to myself

Hey there, Annie, I could use just a little help

And my toe’s on fire

I couldn’t ’ve hit it if I walked in the park

Now I cuss and I swear just dancin’ in the dark

It’s already a good day for watching wildlife here. On the way home from my first two clients i had an Osprey fly over, and when i walked QTπ in town ii got to see a whale. :)

Ouch! Those poor kitties. :( In addition to band-aids it sounds like they could also use a flashlight. (Preferably one that they can strap on their heads.) On another note, saw two ravens and two juncos while out walking today.
