Replace Your Computer Keyboard Day. That’s just for me. I was going bananas with my old keyboard, having to pound hard on the keys to get them to type right and having the keys stick. So I had to break down and get a new keyboard. I was making too many typos on the old one with the keys not working. Now I’m making a bunch of typos on this one because the keys have such a light touch, I barely need to tap a key and it types. And I keep accidentally hitting keys that I didn’t mean to touch. Oh well, it beats pounding so hard on the old keyboard.
I really love the different style of today’s strip! Yesterday I thought I chose the perfect day to clean out the shed – mostly Craig’s stuff but I’ve added to it. 60s, no wind. Dumb me, I thought it could be done in a day! Ha! I haven’t even pulled everything out yet as I kept stopping to look for trash, give a ways and things to be brought in the house. Found some of his mother’s jewelry in with some fishing gear, and an old bag of pennies and nickels from the turn of the last century. Everything is filthy because the doors don’t close all the way. I’ll be lucky to finish by Friday, and there is a cold wind blowing this morning. But I took the time to ride my bike and finally saw a neighbor’s Harris Hawks out flying enjoying the day and harassing the ravens, or was it the other way around? I first heard the bells on their feet over my head. They are native in this country only in southern parts of Texas and Arizona so it was fun to see them even though they are captive. Fairly sociable birds and popular among falconers.
Definitely an early strip. Home sweet home indeed. On another note, saw a finch, three varied thrushes, and four golden crowned kinglets while out walking today.
For the last two days, I’ve been unable to go to “My Comics”. So I couldn’t see anyone’s comments or catch up. So Hi, all! My computer woes just get worse. I guess I will have to get a new computer.
