That’s a good wage for a no-work job, Oliver. But how will you get paid if they are all sleeping?

The weather here is very strange. 80s all week. Tonite we were standing outside talking and it was actually chilly! Mid June. In Vegas! And we still haven’t hit 100. Those El Nino years are odd!

Today is: (a whole lot of stuff! it is:)

    Summer Begins

    National Daylight Appreciation Day

    World Hydrography Day

    National Smoothie Day

    World Peace And Prayer Day

    International Day Of Yoga

    World Humanist Day

    World Giraffe Day

    National Arizona Day

    National Seashell Day

    National Day Of The Gong

    National Selfie Day

    Go Skateboarding Day

    Anne & Samantha Day

National Peaches ‘n’ Cream Day About a week too early for this one. The Tree Ripe company from Georgia will be in our area Tuesday next week and my brother, Mark and I always buy a box of their peaches and we split it. They have the BEST peaches we have ever eaten. I’ve actually never tried them with cream, though. I eat them just as they are, with nothing added (well, sometimes, I put them on ice cream. Does that count as cream?)

I think I’m going to have to google some of these birds that tad sees on his walks. I’ve heard of birds like juncos and towhees, but I never see them here. I mostly see sparrows, robins, mourning doves, assorted finches, grackles, crows and red-winged blackbirds. And I sometimes hear, but don’t often see, catbirds. And in our Walmart parking lot, I often see gulls. I used to see blue jays a lot, years ago, but I never see them anymore. I think I’ve only seen one once in the past 5 years or so. I wonder what happened to them?

Only two shrimp a month, Oliver? That’s barely a snack.

To Wendy Black (sorry, I don’t remember your user name) – I got your gingerbread cookie recipe. I’ll be sure to try it and let you know how it turns out.

Actually, I think now I should have deleted that comment. It sounds a little on the mean side.

Micky has his millions and the next wife he takes to comfort him against the onslaught of your barbarous stings. LOL !

In that case, let them oversleep, Oliver. You deserve all the shrimp you can get. On another note, saw two rabbits, five robins, a sparrow, two juncos, a butterfly, and a squirrel while out walking today.
